Rules and Requirements

Wonderware Open 2008 Contest Rules

By participating in the Wonderware Open 2008 Contest (“Contest”), you agree to be bound by the following Rules and Requirements:

To be eligible to participate in the contest, all entries must be complete when submitted and received by Wonderware no later than August 28, 2008 for North America and September 15, 2008 for EMEA. Completed entries must include a fully completed Contest entry form, including a one-to-two-page description of your application, a one-page description of the benefits achieved by the use of your application, and at least 3 screenshots in JPEG (.jpg), GIF (.gif) or bitmap (.bmp) format.

All entries must be submitted electronically via the Wonderware Open website.

Winning applications from previous Wonderware Open contests are not eligible for consideration in the Wonderware Open 2008 Contest.

Judges designated by Wonderware will select one (1) winner in each of the following categories: Best Geo-SCADA Application, Best Operations Management Solution and Best HMI/Supervisory Application.

Wonderware-designated criteria include but are not limited to: benefits, performance and metrics, use of intuitive graphics and/or multimedia, integration of different software products, uniform look and feel, connectivity, use of unique network architecture, integration of information from multiple source, improvements on controlled process. All decisions by the judges are binding and final.

At Wonderware’s option, application screen graphics from all finalists may be displayed in the Wonderware booth at trade shows. The winners will be announced during the WonderWorlds 2008, and winning entrants will be notified via email.

Winning applications will also become candidates for use as future Wonderware Video Success Stories and written Wonderware Success Stories. In the event you win, you agree to participate in future Wonderware Video Success Stories and/or written Wonderware Success Stories without compensation.

Invensys reserves the right to substitute prizes of comparable value to the winner in the event the stated prizes are commercially unavailable. The winner is responsible for payment of any and all taxes on the prize and for any other expenses associated with the prize. No responsibility is assumed by Invensys for lost, late, misdirected, illegible, postage due or mutilated entries or for damages arising out of any computer, online telephone, or technical malfunctions that may occur. All entries become the property of Invensys and will not be returned. By participating in the contest, entrants agree that, to the extent allowed by law, Invensys, its affiliates and subsidiary companies, agents, directors, officers, representatives and employees will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from participation in the promotion or acceptance, possession or use of any prize or prizes that may be awarded. Entrants agree to abide by the terms of these official rules and by the decisions of Invensys Systems, Inc., which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Contest. Entrants further grant to Invensys the worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, right to use application screen shots and to use and publish their name, likeness, photo, voice and/or company affiliation in connection with the Contest and for advertising, marketing and promotional purposes, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
