What’s New in Version 9.2?

X/Y Scatter Charts with Target Regions

The ActiveFactory™ software’s new X/Y Scatter Charts allow plant engineers and others to study the relationship between two different analog process parameters, such as flow vs. temperature. Data is displayed with marks indicating the direction of the newest data vs. the oldest data. Simple drag-and-drop commands are used to select parameters for the chart.

Target regions can also be added to an X/Y chart to show “normal” behavior. Excursions from this target region will be highlighted so that operators and/or engineers can quickly spot possible harmful behavior.

Accelerated Historical-Data Playback Feature

The History Playback feature has been improved because it empowers plant personnel to select the playback speed. Playback speeds range from ½-to-128 times normal speed. As a result, fast processes can be slowed down or very slow processes can be speeded up — improving the efficiency of historical data analysis.

Streamlined Report Generation with Powerful Data-Retrieval Modes

Production reports are still an important part of the decision-making process at many manufacturing and process plants. Now, plant IT personnel tasked with creating and maintaining production reports have a new tool for streamlining the data queries needed to pull important information out of the huge volume of process data stored in the Wonderware® Historian.

New data-retrieval modes include:

  • Time in State
  • Best Fit
  • Time-weighted Average
  • Integral (rates)
  • Rate of Change (slope)
  • Counter rollover

ActiveFactory software can now use these data-retrieval modes to dramatically reduce the time needed to create sophisticated data queries. Plant personnel can also add new content to existing production reports or create new production reports that were difficult or impossible to create in the past.

Support of Microsoft Office 2007

ActiveFactory 9.2 has been designed to support Microsoft Office 2007 with its many reporting and data analysis improvements.
