Equipment Downtime Tracking

Overall Equipment Effectiveness Monitoring
Driving higher equipment efficiencies is paramount in keeping competitive in today’s marketplace. Wonderware Performance Software allows you to define and monitor an unlimited number of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) calculations per piece of plant equipment. This information can be delivered directly to your operators via InTouch, Wonderware’s industry HMI solution, enabling them to take immediate action to keep equipment efficiencies at the highest possible level.
Operator Involvement
Involving operators is vital in any efficiency-improvement program because operational decisions can dramatically affect process efficiency. By displaying Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) or equipment-downtime information via HMI screens, operators can modify operational parameters to generate higher process uptimes and increase efficiency. Wonderware Performance Software can place real-time and historical equipment downtime and efficiency data on the same HMI screens they rely on everyday to do their jobs.

Since Performance Software provides access to plant floor data inputs, ArchestrA efficiency objects can be easily extended to track essentially any plant parameter, including cycle time, duty cycle, MTBF, Takt time, MTTR, TEEP and many other metrics. Once extended, objects can then be used across equipment, production lines or even other plant applications. This methodology reduces engineering and ongoing maintenance costs, implementation time and helps enforce standard practices.
