Inline Quality QuickStart

This QuickStart provides pre-configured Wonderware® software components using proven practices to implement an effective operator-based statistical process variation monitoring and analysis solution.

Inline Quality – A Definition
The Inline Quality process is about reducing product and process variation in real-time as products are being manufactured or processes are running. Unlike off-line product testing which usually requires lot samples that need to be tested in quality laboratories, Inline Quality measures product attributes (number of non-conformities) and/or variables using control charts in real time. This allows for the immediate detection of deviations and potential issues – forming the basis for corrective as well as preventive actions (CAPA).

Adopting Proven Practices through Wonderware QuickStarts
Wonderware® components can be implemented in many ways to accomplish a wide variety of tasks, especially in the area of Production and Performance Management.Wonderware has developed application examples associated with the software modules that are called QuickStarts. Their purpose is to share proven practices and ideas regarding how to deploy the capabilities of multiple Wonderware components to address typical user requirements in the industry. In essence, these QuickStarts are design tools for engineers and system integrators (SIs) looking to adopt proven practices and kick-start their design processes. QuickStarts are working application examples that demonstrate the flexibility of Wonderware software. They indicate how to assemble specific Wonderware components to deliver some of the most commonly requested functionalities.
