What’s New?
Integration to Industrial Application Server Data Sources
Wonderware’s QI Analyst™ 8.0 software leverages the data source connectivity capabilities of the Wonderware® Industrial Application Server. Now, plants using the Industrial Application Server can easily connect to QI Analyst 8.0 software using Wonderware’s FactorySuite® Gateway, which can minimize setup and maximize access to valuable process data.
New ChartService
The new ChartService (a Microsoft Windows® service) automatically monitors your process data without the need to run QI Analyst software on a workstation PC, saving valuable IT resources. The ChartService runs on a server and efficiently evaluates process data, updates chart data and alarms, and communicates results to distributed clients. The new SPC alarm dashboard control, described below, works closely with the new ChartService to provide operators the SPC information they need in a particularly convenient and effective format.
New SPC Alarm Dashboard Control
Operators and plant decision-makers can now easily keep tabs on important process variations using the new SPC alarm dashboard control. This control can be easily configured to show alarm indicators that automatically change color if a SPC alarm is generated. The user can then access the associated SPC chart by simply clicking on the alarm indicator.
This new ActiveX® control can be embedded in an HMI -- like Wonderware’s InTouch® HMI, an industrial Web portal or other custom industrial application -- to communicate real-time SPC alarm status information to a wide range of plant personnel.
New Products/Parts Setup Support
Manufacturers with many products can use the new Products/Parts functionality to quickly and easily set up quality parameters such as specifications and control limits. This capability enables the monitoring of a wider range of production parameters, which can maximize the application’s return on investment. It can also promote a standardized approach to using SPC information as an integral part of plant decision-making.
FDA 21 CFR Part 11 Ready
Regulated industries have special recordkeeping requirements that must be built into a SPC tool to allow for cost-effective application validation.
Wonderware’s QI Analyst 8.0 software simplifies this process and lowers the cost of creating SPC systems in regulated industries such as Pharmaceuticals, Food and Beverage, Power Generation by providing audit trails for parameter, alarm and data changes. QI Analyst 8.0 software also supports Windows Integrated Security, making it easy for you to fit QI Analyst software within your plant’s existing user security model.
Multilingual Support
QI Analyst software has been localized and internationalized so that the application can be used throughout a modern multi-national manufacturing enterprise -- even in Asia and other markets that use two-byte character languages. Version 8.0 supports English, French, German, Japanese and Simplified Chinese.
