How to Get Certified

How Do I Become A Certified Application Developer?

A prospective Wonderware® Certified Application Developer can apply for certification at any time by submitting an application form through a local Wonderware Distributor. After the Wonderware Distributor invites you to participate in the program, you can take the appropriate Certification exams online. These exams are designed to challenge you and reliably measure an individual's mastery of the Wonderware technology area being evaluated. Attendance at the corresponding Wonderware product training course(s) is not necessarily a prerequisite for application, but should certainly be considered.

Responsibilities

Certified Application Developers — a.k.a., the individuals who participate in the program — are responsible for:

  • Notifying the Wonderware Sales & Marketing Operations department of changes in employer status by sending an email to SIprogram@wonderware.com;
  • Maintaining current knowledge of and skills using the latest Wonderware products and technology;
  • Complying with the policies, procedures and guidelines required by the Wonderware Solution Provider Program
  • Remaining certified by continuously taking and passing exams on the latest versions of Wonderware products.

Re-Certification

Certified Application Developers are required to re-certify in the Wonderware Certification Program 90 days following the debut of each new Wonderware Product Examination . All Certified Application Developers and their managers will be informed of the end-date of the grace period via e-mail when new Wonderware products and versions are released. This grace period gives Certified Application Developers sufficient time to learn how to use the new products before taking the re-certification test. Interim component updates and feature enhancements (service releases) do not require re-certification.
